The three most important questions we all ask consciously or unconsciously....

Sharing my notes from Church

1) who am I?

The Identity question....

We find our identity in our names, jobs, passion, relationships (mum), race etc

Is it really our true identity though?

2) where do I belong?

The security question...,

We have a built in need to belong

We identify with clicks, group of friends, groups, even gangs etc

Is it where we really belong?

3) why am I here?

The significant question....

We don't want to think about this.

We don't want to deal with it. We put it off because we don't know the answer. It's the most important question yet we are too busy with too many activities. It needs deeper digging.

Two reasons for avoiding the big question. Because of our Adamic nature, we have Fear rooted in shame. We project the hologram of ourselves so that we can be accepted. How people project us matters to us more than who we really are.

We are also Hiding rooted in insecurity.

We either have strong reactions to insecurity or act very weakly. Which can be a self fulfilling prophecy to remain insecure.

When we stop posing and be our true self, we are the most attractive. Our weaknesses open doors for relationships and interdependency towards one another.

Romans 12:3 teaches us to think accurately about ourselves. To Be honest. We shouldn't judge our self by the world's or by people's standard but God's standard.

We are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14).
